Martin specializes in structuring and managing investments as well as the related trade relations and other processes. On the Bulgarian and Romanian markets, he has represented and represents a wide range of investors in renewable energy, investors in manufacturing enterprises, banks and commercial companies. Martin also represented the local public institutions in arbitration proceedings conducted by foreign entities.

He is a recognized expert on trade and energy law and has extensive experience in representing clients in litigation and arbitration.

In 2012, Chambres & Partners ranked Martin among the leading legal experts in commercial law in Bulgaria, Romania and the Czech Republic.

Professional resume

After graduating, having also served his national service, he worked as a lawyer in the Legislative Department of the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic.

After completing his national service in 2001, he entered upon working as a junior lawyer at the law firm Láník, Štumpová & Partners and since 2003 successively acted as an attorney and partner for the law firm Peterka & Partners. From 2008 to 2012 he founded and successfully managed branches of this law firm in Sofia and Bucharest as the partner entrusted with business management.

Starting from 2013 he set up his own practice, within which he has negotiated and managed investment projects in the Balkans. He and his colleague Margarita Manolova opened their own law office in Sofia and in 2015, and together with Zdeněk Bajar, he founded VAZBA advokáti Ltd.
